Clear aligners are removed for eating, which prevents food from getting stuck in the tray and makes brushing and flossing easier.

What else do I need to know about clear aligners?

• An initial set of aligners will be made to fit your teeth 
• Trays will be worn 20-22 hours per day 
• Trays will be removed when you eat or brush and floss your teeth 
• Clean your trays with a nonabrasive toothpaste and toothbrush or soap and warm water 
• You will change to the next tray about every 14 days 
• We will perform periodic check-ups to monitor effectiveness of treatment
